Bad oranges

Power corrupts equally. Or perhaps the figureheads of the Orange Revolution were simply not as clean to begin with as would have been expected and desired. Yulia Tymoshenko has been imprisoned for financial misdeeds and now faces new charges, according to the New York Times. People need to be able to believe in their leaders. Some arrive on the scene with stained hands already. Others are corrupted by the institutions they have vowed to reform. So few manage to steer not only an ethical path through temptation, but execute their resistance and change effectively also.
